The integrated sexual health service offers a range of clinical and non-clinical training available to agencies and departments.  Training is delivered by qualified, experienced staff.  For further details or to request training, contact the sexual health service on 0845 155 0156 or To book on any of the courses please complete the booking form.

Sexual Health Today (Accredited Open Awards tranining)This 4 day course covers all aspects of sexual health. Provides the learner with a greater understanding of sexual health and the impact on the individual and the wider community. Learners have the opportunity to explore current topics such as:
  • Reproduction
  • Contraception
  • Sexual Transmitted Infection
  • Social issues affecting sexual health including FGM, Religion and Clulture, LGBT
  • Sex and the law
  • CSE & online safety
(Accredited Open Awards - Level 1)

​Aimed at young people, 10 x 2 Hour Sessions plus homework . This course covers all aspects of sexual health including Child Sexual Exploitation and other current topics.  This course is aimed at raising awareness, promoting discussion and ensuring a secure understanding of all aspects of sexual health.  An in-depth knowledge will be gained on all areas covered highlighting current topics whilst promoting freedom of choice, empowerment and confidence around relationships and sexual health.
Bespoke sexual health awareness sessions​Sessions can be arranged from 3 hours to 3 days and tailored to suit the needs of the requesting agency/department.  Sessions can cover all aspects of sexual health and can accommodate clinical and non-clinical content.
C-Card and C-Card Plus Training ​Enables participants to deliver C-card services to young people in their own agency/department.  Training covers how to register a young person onto the scheme, the law and sex, Fraser competence, condom demonstration, access to CaSH services (1/2 day or full day).

C-card Plus includes the above plus Chlamydia testing and pregancy testing.
Chlamydia Screening ​Training is available to enable participants to offer Chlamydia screening within their own organisation.  Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection and often displays no symptoms.  Left untreated, Chlamydia can cause a range of other health issues including pelvic inflammatory disease.  As part of the Chlamydia Screening Programme, the integrated sexual health service can provide training and supply the necessary resources to enable screening to be delivered either in service or via postal kits.  Training sessions can be delivered as stand-alone 1-2 hour sessions or as part of a bespoke session.
LGBT AwarenessAs part of the integrated sexual health service, we are able to offer awareness sessions looking at lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans issues.  Sessions are available on request and can be delivered as a stand-alone session or as part of a bespoke session.  The aim of this session it to raise awareness amongst staff or client groups to the issues faced by LGBT people within the community and highlight sexual health issues pertinent to this group of people.
